which M6 version should I choose?
M6-A1 is Black (Standard Wheel): PixArt 3395, up to 1K polling, clicky switches and a 78g body. M6S-A23 (black) and M6S-A24 (white) are Premium Wheel editions: PixArt 3950, up to 8K polling, a magnetic metal wheel, all-silent switches and an 86g body. All Silent refers to every button, not only the left and right clicks.
does 8K work over Bluetooth?
No. Up to 8,000 Hz polling is available on the 8K editions through their 2.4 GHz receiver or a USB cable. M6-A1 supports up to 1,000 Hz through 2.4 GHz or USB. Bluetooth is available on all three versions and can remember three devices.
how long does the battery last?
Keychron rates the Standard Wheel M6-A1 for up to 80 hours. The 8K editions are rated for up to 120 hours at 1,000 Hz, or up to 35 hours at 8,000 Hz in 2.4 GHz mode. These are manufacturer maximums; actual runtime varies with settings and use.
can I customise it on Mac or Windows?
Yes. Keychron Launcher supports Windows, macOS and Linux through a current Chrome, Edge or Opera browser. Connect the mouse using USB or 2.4 GHz to remap controls and adjust settings. Bluetooth is for regular use, not Launcher configuration. Follow Keychron’s model-specific firmware instructions for the mouse and receiver if an older unit needs an update.
how big is it, and is it left-handed?
M6 is designed for the right hand, with a thumb rest on the left side. Its body measures 122.5 × 75.4 × 50 mm. The Standard Wheel edition weighs 78g; the Premium Wheel 8K editions weigh 86g.
what is the difference between the two scroll modes?
Tactile mode gives the main wheel defined steps for controlled scrolling. Infinite mode lets it spin freely for longer pages. The top button switches between them. The side wheel provides a separate horizontal scroll control; all three versions also support tilting the main wheel left and right.
